Lifting the fabric is not permitted; what lies beneath is not meant to be seen. The possibility remains within arm’s reach, perhaps even closer. You have the ability to reveal what is concealed behind the veil. Such is the ease with which a refusal can be disregarded.
Personal boundaries are often delicate, fragile constructs. At times, even verbal consent may be nothing more than an attempt to avoid pressure, driven by fear or an inability to comprehend the full extent of the trauma that may follow.
The act of violence is disturbingly within arm's reach. To touch what must not be touched, to reveal what was never meant to be unveiled. The gratification of desire takes a single moment, a single action, yet the consequences—a life in ruins, unhealing pain, and the inability to forget. Abuse alters the brain, leading to trauma that will forever remain within the mind of the victim.
